Eddy Lou

Hi there, I'm Eddy Lou, my pronouns are she/her and I am the proud owner of FLT Tattoo studio. I've been tattooing since 2010 and specialise in Illustrative and Blackwork tattooing with a focus on intricate botanicals, animals and mythological creatures. I am best known for my unique and detailed cross-hatch portraits.

 

I am a multidisciplinary artist, working in tattooing, illustration, painting, printmaking and ceramics, and much of my work is informed by the aesthetic of 15th-17th century printmaking. I'm inspired by scientific and medical illustrations and by artists such as Gustave Doré, Norman Lindsay, Albrecht Dürer and Hendrick Goltzius.

While my focus is primarily on etching style tattoos, I also enjoy doing illustrative colour pieces and pop culture tattoos including sci-fi, fantasy and character portraits. I also love to re-interpret famous artworks like the Pre-Raphaelite works for example, into etching style tattoos.
